let it snow...

Coming home from a trip is always hard. Coming home from Salt Lake is especially hard. I think part of it has to do with the fact that being in Salt Lake is like being at home, without any of the responsibility... it is like having a party 24/7. We stay up late every night, either watching movies, crafting or just chatting. I love getting together with all of the cousins and their kids... catching up on what's new in all of our lives. The shopping is always fun, and who wouldn't want to eat out for every meal? Hires, Royal India, and the Mikado are always favorites. All in all, I think the trip was a huge success!
Although we didn't get tons of snow, there was just enough for Gavin to run around in... barefoot and wearing only a diaper. We tried to teach him how to make snow angels and throw snow balls. Jeff, Bug & JP built a hill for him to snowboard down, but they couldn't get it steep enough... so you'll just have to settle for video of him snowboarding last March when he was 13 months old!

Vacations are when you rest so you can lay around and relax afterwards. If you did it all the time it would be boring. Every six weeks is about right.
