saw this at anthropologie & i fell in love, until i saw the price that is. $2,500. YIKES! i swear i could make it for much less! all it consists of is a decorative metal railing & a wood top. one of these days...

i love that, too! it's funny how the older i get, the more i understand why my parents were so often saying "we can make that for less." i'm only now appreciating the time they took to actually do it. :) that is so beautiful! i hope you do make it! :)
I came from parents who constantly said the same thing. And they did it well. It's handy having a mom who is a woodworker and a dad who is a welder. Not only do they teach you how to do it, but enlighten you to great resources, too. King Architectural Metal is the place to go for similar railing pieces.
