so I've been looking for a bench lately, and I came across this idea... although it doesn't work for my space, I thought it as cute & worth sharing! The instructions read: "To get the look, cut a piece of plywood to fit across the seats of three wooden chairs. Cut notches in the back edge of the plywood to accommodate the chair backs and ensure a snug fit. Trim the front edge and sides of the plywood with molding, and seal the deal with a colorful coat of exterior paint." Sounds easy enough! It might even be cute at a dining table!

why dont you have jeff make a surfboard long enough to fit the area and turn it into a bench? it works well if you like the beach look...?
