i have all these ideas.
i have a zillion projects swirling in my head. i have mounds of fabric & miles of yarn. and yet, i can't bring myself to craft or create ANYTHING. do you think it's a disease? is it serious? should i call a doctor? maybe if i stare at these fat quartes long enough, something will come to me.

i hate that feeling. you should get that book i blogged about, fabric crafts. love it! already got my PIF fabric ready to go!! :)
i always have that disease...i never craft and i'm learning to be ok with it...except when i read other people's blogs and realize there is a whole world of craftiness at my fingertips...oh well...
I LOVE LOVE LOVE those fabrics in the pic.
I've had the desire all summer, but no opportunity. Too many kids at home. Now that they are going back Monday, I'm thinking I want to just shop till I drop. It's been so long.
I'm sure I'll want to craft when I get rid of my cabin fever.
I have that problem too! I have started making lists and seems to be getting me out of the rut. Good luck, maybe once you start something you'll catch that I can't stop desease, you know where you stay up all night long just to finish what you are working on...-kelly
I am sure it is just a phase. I went through that after i got pregnant with Sophie and was too sick to do anything more than lay on the couch and moan. In fact, Emma would watch wonder pets on Nickelodeon, and now, even when Sophie is 10 months, the theme song makes me feel noxious.
I just started getting back into quilting. i was fanatical before I got sick, but I am slowly easing back into it. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It takes a lot of energy to have 2 young little boys. There is only so much time in the day!
Soon you will see something that sparks your creative side, and you will get back into it.
By the way, here are two quilts that would look fabulous with those fabrics:

I really wanted to use some of Heather Bailey's Fresh-cut fabrics before they were no longer available, and when I saw the second quilt I knew it would be perfect... very clean and simple. That is what got me back out of my rut!
Both of these quilts would work well with the large-scale prints you pictured.
Let me know if you want the patterns for either, I will send them to you.
I think sometimes we just need a break! Enjoy the time off and you'll come back to crafting when it sounds fun again. :o)
those fabrics are awesome! Maybe you should make a cute apron or a nursing cover for a pregnant friend. That would be so cute!
Your fabric is gorgeous !! When the time is right, you will be flooded w/ ideas of what to do. That's how it works for me. I'll have a dry spell and then just started creating like crazy.
I know how you feel... I have loads of fabric etc.. just sitting there..
I SO relate. I forced myself to start a quilt today but even then I'm just not that into it. Good to know I'm not alone.
I hate it when that happens....and it seems to happen to me more and more with each kiddo! love all the fabrics though--I am sure you will think of something great! :)
Maybe you have crafter's block! Kinda like writer's block, you know? So...go off and do something different and eventually you'll come back to it. The fabric will be waiting for you, trust me.
It's totally ok to feel that way. It happens to me sometimes too. Sounds like you need a break and a different kind of distraction.
