why eat the candy, when you can bake with it?

for some reason or another, i bought a couple of bags of those starlight mints. (at one point i think i thought of decorating with them. and then i remembered i had a 2-year old, who would do just about anything to eat candy... which would probably include climbing on counter tops or moving a chair over to a mantle.) so, they're still sitting in the grocery bag in my cupboard. but maybe i'll put them to good use in these peppermint-topped brownies. i don't know how they taste (i assume yummy!) but they sure are pretty to look at. go HERE for the recipe.
