a new favorite.

let's face it, with two little ones at home i don't get out much to the movies terribly often. i'm just a bit lazy, & baby sitters are so dang expensive. i do however, try to keep track of the ones that look interesting & try to rent them on netflix. although my new current fav totally escaped my radar. luckily, i've got my own personal movie reviewer showing me the way. stardust is one of the best movies i've seen in a long time, simply because it entertained me. it follows in the footsteps of some of my other favorite shows... the princess bride, & the chronicles of narnia: the lion, the witch & the wardrobe. with claires danes, rupert everett, michelle pfeiffer & robert de niro in the cast, how can you go wrong?

This was probably the best surprise of the year when it comes to movies. I was shocked it didn't get more recognition...Loved it too!!

I rented this one too and LOVED it! Robert DeNiro as a gay pirate, witches, falling stars, true love, kings....good stuff! I love me a good fairytale!

I loved Stardust...I will have to see it again without the kids, less interruptions, less "why, what, who?" lol.

That is a great show. You're right, very Princess Bride- esque.

i liked it, too. for some reason i went thinking it was a kid movie, so it was more intense than i'd expected, but really good. :)

I LOVED this movie! I did not, however, feel the same way about the book. It wasn't so good.
