unfortunately this wasn't an art project gone wrong. earlier i had picked up a few supplies for some projects i was working on. while i was upstairs putting owen down for a nap, gavin decided to test out some of the paint. (how he managed to get off that safety seal, i'd love to know.) luckily the paint was non-toxic & the rug he choose to perform his experiments on is also red. so although he'll be wearing a slight stain for the next few days, we did manage to avoid a total catastrophe. i wonder what tomorrow will bring.

oh, what a mess! He is very cute though... I think God makes them cute so they survive childhood. hehe
:-)
Ugh. That kind of stuff just requires grunting and groaning. What a disaster!
Shhhh...today is the SURPRISE BLOGGY BIRTHDAY PARTY for Kari's 40th birthday...hop on over for a little cake, diet coke, and birthday cheer!!!
blessings,
kijsa
Oh Wow! That sounds like my sons older version! Sometimes those boys are just trouble! I am glad it wasn't on a white carpet! Good for you to think this deserves a picture! Helps me keep perspective to realize how funny it will be days from now! Hope today will be better!
I'm sorry, but this made me laugh. I think it is also funny that before you cleaned up the mess, you had the presence of mind to take a photo. :)
Next time, you could try just having him paint in the tub!

Hahaha! I'm so glad you have a REAL boy. My sisters with all their girls don't know what motherhood is all about.
Let's hear it for the boy!
I've missed you lately....how did your triathalon go? Can't wait to hear all bout it.
Hoping for a better week (and that someday you get a girl so you can have all kinds of emotional, estrogen filled drama instead of this boy stunt that Gavin pulled off).
Ah...the joys of parenting! At least it looks like he had fun with it!
Oh that stinks...but he sure does look cute!!
Oh, that is no fun. The joy of having boys.
Belly.Aching.With.Laughter. Whew! *B
Oh my gosh! That's why I start twitching when my little girls asks if she can paint...
Did the super glue hold out for the bath? Glad to see he's feeling okay. So sorry you had to clean up the mess. My oldest is 32 and my youngest is 27, so this brings back some funny memories. Jancd
OMGosh....reminds me of this. My sister's friend had put her son down for a nap (he was 3). She checked on himb/c he was sleeping so lonnnng. Turns out he had woken up, found her blue house paint (she was painting an adjacent bathroom) and promptly turned himself into a smurf.....AND the entire rug around a 5 ft radius........funny. (he too, was fine...)
I had one of those covered in red paint once.
an art project gone wrong? But that pic is so cute!!! : )
