it's beach weather.

the sun is shining & it's a beautiful 80 degrees. (i'm not trying to make you jealous, it's just one of the perks of living in southern california.) the toughest decision i'll be making is should we go to the beach or the pool? either way i'm set, because at the most recent craft night i made the perfect bag... just the right size for a couple of towels, some sun block, a bottle of water & a magazine. the greatest part (other than skulls i sewed on?) it's waterproof, because it's made completely of garbage bags... gotta love that. plus it smells nice too (we get the scented garbage bags). so have any of you attempted to fuse plastic yet? seriously, you've got to give it a go, it's super easy & fun! (click on the picture, in order to enlarge it so you can see all the "awesome" detailing.)

Wow that bag is great. I also live in So Cal and the weather has been wonderful. My daughter and I have been living at the park this week already. I love the bag and have put plastic fusing on my list of things to try out.

Also thanks for the wonderful comment and encouragement over on my blog. I just love that about this little blogging world. You can feel uncertain about things but get such support. I can't wait to see what you do next.

Wah!!! And I was excited that the thermometer hit a whopping 60 here today. I really want to try the fusing plastic. I'll have to get some friends together and JUST DO IT! Great bag!

So cute, but the picture just isn't big enough! Can you send me that cute little skull of yours so I can totally copy you?! The red, plastic, detailed one. Not to be confused with the one in your head. *B

The bag is SO cute! But my question is how do you pack for the beach in such a cute, smallish bag? When we go, I usually have to take an entire set of luggage just to fit our towels, snacks, umbrella, sunscreen, beach toys, etc., etc., etc. I am jealous of your weather, however. The east coast won't be that warm for another million years (or so it seems). Have fun!!
