quick fixes.

thanks to a recent swap partner, the lovely laura, i have been introduced to a fun austrailian magazine called real living. the issue i received was full of quick tips for decorating your space & i wanted to share an idea or two... (click on picture to enlarge)

in the first picture they hung silver trays on the walls instead of mirrors. genius! and the second picture is a collage of magazine pages & pictures taped to the wall instead of wall paper. simply beautiful.

quick, easy, & fun. not to mention, both of these ideas use things that you probably have lying around the house - gotta love that!

I should have been a designer when I was a teenager. All I did was put up tons of magazine pages all over my room - my dad didn' think it was so trendy though!

I did a magazine collage all over 1 wall when I was in jr high. *sigh* That took me back. It was a beautiful wall.

I love those trays!

We almost bought a house once just because the lady papered her teeny little powder room with pages from Vogue while drinking a bottle of wine the night her divorce was final. Even the venetian blinds were papered. It was SO cool! (The rest of the house was crap. So I guess we really didn't almost buy it.) But I LOVED that bathroom!

My grandmother used really old victorian magazine pages to paper her guest bathroom. It is gorgeous!
