are you kidding me?

this is so not the sight i wanted to see. earlier today i ran to the grocery store to pick up a couple of lemons, & when i say "run" i mean literally. can i tell how surprised i was? i really wasn't expecting to find a total & complete lack of lemons. it has never even occurred to me that the grocery store might be out, aren't they supposed to be able to foresee my every whim?

You had what my husband likes to call a "Gruver experience". Almost every time I go to the store there is something I need that isn't available. Not just groceries, but even clothing, shoes, housewares. I'm always looking for something that can't be found. He's starting to wonder why I go to the stores at all.

One time I needed a lime. The store, which never carried key limes before, now had only them, with no normal, average limes to be found.

Hey about the Littlest Pets, they are pretty girly, the accesories are pink and things, but the pets themselves are cute and can be used by either sex, I think. My son doesn't have a ton and he doesn't have the playsets, just some pets. Guess you would have to cruise the girls section at hte store sometime and check them out to see what you think.

How strange! I have never seen a grocery store totally out of a particular fruit or vegetable. Hmmm....maybe I just haven't noticed.

Okay, you are a true die-hard blogger if it would occur to you to take a picture at the grocery store. I love it!

Now that is truly sad. My kids love to buy lemons and oranges and then squeeze all the juice out to make drinks. I hope they won't be in a shortage this summer.

I am often amazed that the very ONE thing I want is the ONE thing that has completely sold out. And it is so random!

Lemons? Why would there suddenly be a run on lemons?????

kelly... you are NEVER supposed to BUY lemons when you live in california. hello. i'm sure your mom or a neighbor has a lemon tree? right?

on several occasions my grocery store has run out of green onions of all things.

Wow my mom said she can't find any bananas at Costco! Where is all the produce going?

For that price, I'm surprised they weren't fully stocked. I wonder if someone from a restaurant came in and grabbed them all! (Greedy person...you're supposed to leave a few behind!)

Lemons are an item I'd think to be always available. I don't always expect to see cantaloupe or avacado, but no lemons. That's an odd one.

that is crazy.. but with prices the way they are and the economy today I am not TOTALLY surprised. but it is still crazy!
