for the past few weeks, everyday, without fail, little o pulls out a chair from around our kitchen table & pushes it all the way to the refrigerator. he then climbs up & begins to dispense ice all over the floor. next, he climbs back down, to chomp on a piece or two. it looks like someone has inherited my ice fetish. do you think it has anything to do with the fact that ice was my only pregnancy craving i had when i was prego with owen? just about everyday i'd go to our local corner drive through & order a large dr. pepper with LOTS of crushed ice, & then i'd ask for an additional 2-3 cups of ice... i seriously lived on the stuff. it looks like my love has rubbed off on o.

I had a serious love for ice when I was pregnant with Sophie... it left a few months after she was born.
I have read that an urge for ice means you have an iron deficiency, which was never true during my pregnancy, but you may want to ask your pediatrician about it.
That is so darling. My kids would be doing the same thing if we had an ice maker.
Being an ice lover myself, I have passed that trait on to my kids. When we purchased our last refrigerator the only "must have" was a crushed ice dispenser. I was tired of crushing it by hand for my then 2 year old. (who just turned 12-ugh!)
The down side of the dispenser is the ice on the floor of the kitchen. Mine looks like your picture all. the. time.
Owen is a cutie!
Love it! All of my children love to eat the things that I ate and craved while pregnant with each of them....with my boys...I ate healthy...they each eat healthy....with my girls....I loved, loved, LOVED chocolate...yep, you guessed it, they LOVE chocolate...would do anything for the stuff. Not that eating chocolate isn't healthy too.

THat's too funny! THough, it must get frustrating for you to have to clean up that ice OVER and OVER and OVER....
Too cute. I had cravings for mustard when I was pregnant with my oldest who is now 3, and all of a sudden he asks for mustard on everything! Interestin!
Me too. Love ice so much I am willing to drive to the next town several times a week to get my favorite soda (because of the ice). If I were really rich.. I would buy this super cool ice maker. We even have ice in our milk around here. :)
What a sweet picture. I craved chocolate cake with my first pregnancy. That's about the only kind of dessert my oldest son will eat now, so there must be some truth to it. :)
ice sounds really good right about now! mmmm. and I'm glad I don't have a fridge like that, I'd go nuts because I'm sure my kids would do that too
multi generation thing...gotta love that little guy...making messes with the ice.
I totally craved iced while pregnant. Ice and Taco Bell.
Crazy.
I love it! I remember when you used to come to class with your Dr. Pepper with crushed ice. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! :)
Mine do the same thing!
LOL. Too cute, my son used to try to pour his own cereal. Those are the days I wish we had a dog who lived indoors. :)
With my last pregnancy over 13 years ago, I LOVED slurpees and had lots of them. It's very weird but that baby of mine now loves slurpees and I am sure that's the reason. My mother ate lots of oranges when she was pregnant with her first baby and that boy (man) loves orange juice to this very day!
hehehe, this is so cute :)
ice fetish runs in my family as well, me, my mom and dad, we all have a serious ice addiction problem.
i am a bit jelous of your ice machine!!!
I love, love, love ice... my cup is always full with tons of ice and hardly any room for the drink. My husband always looks at me strange when I pull a can out of the fridge and then fill my cup to the brim with ice... "it is already cold..." he says each time and I simply say... "I can't help it!"
cute picture!
your ice dispenser needs a childproof lock on it! or maybe you could teach him how to put it in a cup instead of all over the floor! haha!
what a bummer to have to clean that up day after day!
My son does this same thing...I had to finally lock the functions on the fridge. How is it that they know to get a chair, etc...kids are so smart! Mine knows what button I push to stop the functions; however, he doesn't know (yet) to hold it down for three seconds to get it to work again! Phew!!!
Nice blog!
