family tree.

while wandering aimlessly through ikea a while back, i stumbled across this idea using a "family tree" to decorate a blank wall. (click on picture to enlarge). the ikea instructions read "create a family tree using STATTHULT wall stickers and NYTTJA frames. start by applying the stickers to the wall and arranging them any way you wany. then with family pictures inside, attach the frames to the wall interwining them in the tree."

at ikea they showed the idea in a baby nursery, but it would be perfect for a living room, a hallway, or anywhere you have a little bit of blank wall space.

I heart this SOOOOO much! I think I must add it to my ongoing remodeling project that one day will be completed.

Thanks!

I've had my eye on the Ikea tree for some time. I really want to get it for Flynn's wall BUT moving house next year, so I will have to wait until we are settled again. I thought it would look great in his jungle/nature room

I can't thank you enough for sharing this - we move into a new home next week and I'm so excited to cover the bare walls with unique ideas! This one is definitely going in the hallway between our bedrooms.

Nice tree idea! I have seen some similar nice designs for wall stickers from DecoSticks: DecoSticks Wall Stickers

Their blossom design can be nicely arranged to go across a whole wall...! I suppose that depends on how many branches you have to your family tree though;-) Blossom wall sticker patterns

Kelly-
I am actually almost finished making one of these out of vinyl and it comes in one piece for the trunk, one piece for the leaves, and one more piece for the frames. It is a super sute idea!!!
