there's just something about a "holiday" that makes me lazy. yes, i realize that it's basically only a holiday for schools, banks & the post office, & yet i'm totally willing to extend my lazy weekend by one additional day. so we will do just that. we don't have much planned, in fact it's pretty much your typical manic monday... cleaning the house, making everything spit-spot, cooking up waffles, listening to the howling of the santa ana winds, & catching up with jeffy (i can't wait to hear all about his big race). but after all our "work" is done the boys & i will be busy making & racing paper boats, while wearing our newspaper sailor hats. happy columbus day to you & yours.

It's always a holiday at our house because my hubby works for a credit union, so he gets all those sweet holidays off! I say bless Columbus!
