three weeks to go. wow! as i re-read that sentence i get chills up & down my spine. but it's really happening. & after much assurance from my doctor that she really is a girl, i've finally started to give in, just a bit, to the power of pink.
here's my first attempt at crafting a little ensemble for her to wear. (click on picture to enlarge). but i couldn't make only a dress, every little girl needs some matching accessories. so, i whipped up a blanket to match. i'm sure once she sees it, she'll be drooling to wear it.

Adorable! That is super cute! I love the blanket stitch on the neck!
Great job!! "Drooling" you are too cute.
So cute! You are so talented to just "whip it up"... that would take me months!
so cute...and funny that you just decided to whip up a blanket.
so so so so so cute!!!!
So cute! I like what you did around the neck... how did you do that!?
you're amazing. how do you find the time and energy?
adorable! careful- pink can be contagious too!
That is precious. Just the right amount of "girly"! Is the skirt made of flannel or just really soft cotton?
Darling dress!! You'll have to show me how to that stitching around the neck... so clever.
WOW! YOU AMAZE ME!! Your lil girl will be the best dressed baby in town!
that looks so sweet..she'll be the luckiest girl on the block with you dressing her!
Too cute! I love to sew...my newest task I have learned to do is making skirts our of jeans...I just made Kayla one...too cute!
That dress is fabulous! I agree, you gots some talent, girl!
that's really cute. I would love to have a little girl just for the fact that sewing cute stuff (and more importantly reconstructing other stuff into little girls clothes) for girls seems much easier than for boys. and that's why I kinda think I'm having a boy ;)
That's adorable! With two boys myself, I can (in a slight way) understand the way you must be feeling. Can you show us more of the blanket? They're both so cute!
Aw, that is the cutest dress. Man, I wish I was talented like that.
Oh so cute- I keep thinking that I want to make something- and look at you- you just whip it up!
Kelly, it's absolutely gorgeous. She is going to look beautiful in it. 3 weeks. Wow.
Okay my ovary (only got one)hurts! I swear I wander the baby aisles dying to buy more little dresses. 3T just isn't as cute as 3 months! So tiny. You will love it!
How GORGEOUS! Love it!!! Your sweet girl will look perfect in it!
I've been out of blogs--for yikes!--it seems now, 9months? You are having a baby girl? Congrats!
Love love the dress. Get rest and enjoy the days to come.
This little onesie dress is so cute and I love the quilt. Congratulations on your girl! Your life will never be the same. My daughter is 20, a sophomore in college and one of my best friends. I love my son dearly but there is something wonderful about having another female in the house!
i love that! are the instructions online?
