you might think i'm crazy...

& i probably am. i don't think you can watch as much late night television, as i have lately, without going a bit loopy. but that's what happens when you watch zillions of informercials. unfortunately, my recent lack of sleep makes me a sucker - look what showed up on my front porch recently... come on! admit you're jealous. you want a topsy turvy upside down tomato planter too! maybe i'll have to order your baby can read or snuggie next.

the tomato thing looks awesome. do you have the vines coming out of the side or at the bottom? i am really interested to see if it works.

I have these and they do work!! although I used them mainly because I didn't have a flowerbed, which is where I planted my tomatoes this year :)

my mom and her husband have like 4 of those things! don't feel too bad for being suckered into buying from an infommercial...I think those things actually work! And I have "Your Baby Can Read," didn't pay for it- my husband has a way of finding things for free on the internet....and my son LOVES them. He is on volume 3- they keep his attention better then Baby Einstein! I'll let you know if it actually works.....I hope so! And if not, ah well, I didn't pay for it. Let us know how your tomatoes turn out.

For his 5th birthday, my son requested a topsy turvy, a snuggie and a toothpaste dispenser.

You crack me up. I LOVE infomericals - luckily that's the only thing I have willpower for. I love to watch, but I don't buy.

Although - I would REALLY love me a steam mop or maybe one of those magic twist things. Nah....

Oh - and Patricia's comment cracked me up! Gotta love 5 year olds hooked on infomericals, too!

Last year, I saw these in a Lee Valley catalog & I wanted them. My husband convinced me to try burlap bags instead--they worked great! And I could plant cilantro & stuff out the sides. Next time I have a place to hang my tomatoes & peppers, I'll definitely be doing that again. Good luck with yours!

Okay, I've planted tomatoes like this 2 years in a row, but just have it coming outfrom the bottom. Did you poke holes in the sides too? I put my cherry tomatoes in there and it works great!
