you might think i'm crazy, & i probably am.

but i just couldn't resist. i spotted this beauty & bought it on the spot. i honestly don't know where it's going to go, my house is currently filled to over - capacity already, but i just couldn't pass it up - it was such a steal. i'm tempted to give it a little make over, a la design mom. have you done anything lately that has people questioning your sanity just a wee bit? i think my hubby is ready to ship me off to the funny farm, with this recent purchase. but the piano just captivated me, there was no way i could let it go home with someone else, it was calling out my name. now, i just have to figure out how to get it home.

you have no idea how jealous I am right now! I would LOVE that! Great purchase, it's beautiful! Where'd you find it? And I think a makeover would be fun... scary, but fun! I saw some other piano makeovers the other day, wish I had the links for you. You'll have to share with us what you decide to do!

I love that it's dark brown. I hope you find a place for it in your house, or even better, how to get it there lol.

Oh my goodness! I am in love! If your husband doesn't let you keep it I will buy it off of you. It is gorgeous!

As a piano teacher, I applaud your impulse buy. You won't regret it!

It's gorgeous! Do you or your boys have Grampa Jiggs' talents?

Good for you. I would have done the same thing...except I have the perfect spot for a piano. Ü

I'm a pianist (well, a mediocre one) without a piano and am envious of your new buy. I think it's absolutely gorgeous as it is, and can't imagine a paint job, but if you do, please post pics. It looks pretty old - how does it play?

That is beautiful! Can't wait to see what you do to it. I gave you an award on my blog. Hope you have time to swing by and get it. Thanks for being the real deal!

i've heard that painting a piano will add to much weight to it and throw it off tune. so be careful!

One of my favorite things is to listen to my boys play the piano. An excellent purchase!

GORGEOUS and hopefully you didn't paint it! That color is amazing. I hope it's in decent shape to play as well. I bought a piano on the spot and had it checked out after and they said it would be $2500 to fix bummer since I only paid $100 and it is painted green well before Design Mom did hers, i bought it pea green at DI in 2003, it's 100 yrs old ;) and no one plays it but I love to look at it.
