my cuddly wrap sales pitch.

so, we went to disneyland yesterday. yep! one the perks of living in orange county is that we can drop everything & anything and head over to disneyland, just to have dinner & watch the fireworks show. (last night i had the famed disneyland monte cristo, & let me tell you - it was amazing!) anyway... as we're walking along, jeffy asks "do you even notice anymore?" "notice what?" i respond. "notice the way people stare."

it's true, people do stare. & not just at disneyland. everywhere i go, people stare. & it's not because i'm profoundly beautiful. (although, i'm the first to admit that my new hair-do is smoking hot. it's just a little bit sweet & a whole lot of sass. did i mention that i cut, no chopped, all my hair off? i can't remember if i shared that little bit of news. anyways... i'm off the subject again.) people stare, point & whisper at my children. at first, it's my stroller that gets their attention. having had my stoller for years, i (wrongly) assume that everyone has heard of phil & teds strollers, but judging by the number of "oohhs!"& "ahhhs!" i get, i guess everyone doesn't know about the greatness that is the phil & teds.

once they get over how incredible my stroller is, they are soon amazed by my little charlie... snug as a bug in the cuddly wrap. i'm the first to admit at first glance, the cuddly wrap can be just a tad bit intimidating. but trust me, after tying it on a couple of times, pretty soon it became like second nature. pretty soon i realized it was the greatest invention in the entire world. my children have traveled around the world bundled up in that little wrap. they live day & night in it, how else would i ever get anything done? my little charlie... she may look like a little angel, but she definitely has got a pair of pipes. right now, her favorite past time is definitely screaming. but, once she gets bundled up in her little wrap, she can sleep for hours at a time.

i'm telling you - if you're prego, have a baby, or need a gift for someone who is having a baby... this is THE must-have. if only i had a dollar or two for every time someone asked me about my cuddly wrap, i'd be a very rich gal. maybe i should look into working for them on a commission basis, i think i could make some serious cash. so there you have it, my cuddly wrap sales pitch.

p.s. by the by... do you like my pink-ish tint on my photo, in honor of national breast cancer awareness month?

I have a wrap sling as well--and we LOVE it!

Did you know it's World Baby Wearing Week? Because it is.

I used my wrap to carry the baby around the house with me while I was doing chores. He'd be safe on my back while I did my work. As a working mom it was a lifesaver to be able to hold my baby and get things done.

Hi Kelly! That looks like a great idea - I wish they had these when I had my kids 15 years ago - THAT would have been GREAT! HA! Yes, love the pinkish tint to your photo in honor of Breast Cancer awareness month. Have a great day and a great weekend! Hugs, Trac~ :o)

Hi Kelly! I seriously considered buying the Phil and Teds when I found out I was about to have two boys 19 months apart, but could not see one in person (one of the few drawbacks to living in Nashville). I ended up with the Baby Jogger City Mini Double which also seems to get a lot of attention. I love it! I found your blog on MBC and became a follower right away. Come visit mine at http://sidac.blogspot.com. I'd love to have you as a follower! It seems we have a lot in common! Take care!

I love that you baby wear... I always wonder why people think it's so weird.

I have a few different wraps for miles, but have been too scared to even try them yet. lol.

you just gave me the inspiration/courage I needed! :)

if i didn't have the cuddly wrap, nothing would ever get done! i've tried tons of different wraps/ slings, & this is by far my favorite for a newborn.

as for the hair, i will post pictures soon. right now, i'm sick as a dog. which doesn't make for pretty pictures! as soon as i can breath and the world stops spinning, i promise!

I've heard it's easy to make a wrap like that. Any suggestions?

Look at little Charlie. Yes, I'm always amazed how she's soo snug in there. I love Phil & Teds too. I recommend it to all my friends looking for a double. I need to see the hair woman.

And I hope you get well soon, you sounded awful today.

Sadly, my babe didn't take to the wrap. She seemed to want to see and move more than it allows. I also found it to be a bit too warm to wear. But, for convenience and comfort, it sure beats carrying the kid in your arms! And yes, we need to see that hair!

We use a Moby (similar to Cuddly) and love it! Strangers comment on it (and my baby girl's red hair) everywhere we go.

Have you solved the Phil & Ted missing cup holder problem? If you have, please do share. I went with the Bob Stroller cup holder. But it's still not excellent. More often then not, whomever is seated in the rear is wearing a sprinkling of diet coke.

so...I'm pretty much on a mission to own every type of baby wearing device there is. (that is what my husband would tell you anyway) I do not yet have a cuddly wrap but it is CERTAINLY on my list. Yay tying your baby to yourself!

I just found your blog and was reading through these older posts and had to laugh that people were staring at you for your buggy! You can't be a proper yummy mummy in New Zealand without one of their buggies, they're made here. And random fact, one of my friend's little girls is the model for them as well. They make so much sense though, what on earth are other mums around the globe using? Love your blog, going to keep reading through for ideas!
