this is halloween, this is halloween...

so, i LOVE halloween time at disneyland. & not just because they treated my family & i to a super fantastical day filled with all things halloween time-ish, but because it is absolutely & completely freak'in AWESOME! this year the "villains" took over the parks & let's just say they really outdid themselves. there's "boo-tiful" decorations complete with candy corn hanging from trees. jack skellington has once again returned & made the haunted mansion his home & a ghost has taken over space mountain. but best of all is the disneyland halloween screams firework show. it is amazing! absolutely A-MAZING! once again, the "villains" know how to take care of business...  as the fireworks explode in the night sky, the castle is bathed in ghostly lights, all the while each of the "villains" takes his or her turn commanding "center stage," so to speak. but, words alone can't even begin to describe the firework show (or extravaganza as i like to think of it), you absolutely have to see it! here's your personal 11-minute sneak peak of the disneyland halloween screams firework show. (and if you want to catch the real thing, all you have to do is head on out to disneyland before november 1st & trust me, you don't want to miss it!)

11-minutes a bit too long? not a problem.  here's disneyland's much better produced & less shake-y hand-ish  30-second version...

I love halloween & I cant wait to see all the new decorations disneyland has up. My husband & I were there last Thursday & they hadn't had too many things up yet.

We're definetly going to have to go back!

I loved that it was a villan-centered fireworks show. I have to go back to see it again since a huge tree was blocking some of the show for me.

Ok Kelly, I am going to trust you on this one! We have plans to go next week, but tell me this, are the Halloween decorations all Nightmare before Christmas themed? I went one October a few years ago and they had turned the haunted house into Nightmare before Christmas, so it was all decked out in Christmas crap! I mean dont get me wrong, I love Christmas, but not in the Haunted Mansion!! It is supposed to be filled with scary stuff, not red white and green stuff!! Ok, enough with my rant, I will however make a point to watch the fireworks show, that looks good! <3

Oh! This makes me miss Disneyland SO MUCH! My hubby and I are lucky if we make it once a year when we visit his family in SoCal. There's just something so magical about Disneyland. I LOVE it! It's funny that as a kid/teenager my family and I only ever went in the summer so I was SO EXCITED to get an opportunity to go around Christmas before my hubby and I were engaged - now that's the only time we ever get to go. It's been years since I've seen the "normal" Haunted Mansion and I kind of miss it.
Thanks for the fireworks videos - I will have to live vicariously through those for now. :)

disneyland and halloween are two of my very most favorite things in the whole world. i haven't been during halloween for 3 years and i am soooooo jealous. it looks like there is much to see this year. the only problem is that halloween time is getting more and more crowded. do me a favor and get some carmel apple cider from the coffee shop on main street!
