i'm a maxxinista.

with a little help from heather bailey, i turned my $7 tj maxx find, into something worthy of hanging on my wall. i love a good refashion that's both quick & easy. what have you re-purposed lately?

i made cushions out of a cute tablecloth of mom's and save the tablecloth for use as a shorter tablecloth. mom was the greatest teacher at doing things like that. she once colored all the roses on a couch with magic marker! it turned out great, following her example, I colored the pattern on her chairs that i inherited with fabric pen!

Cute, Kelly! I love it! I am all about repurpose-ing, but I refuse to go by: D.I.-inista. (funny)

polly - i've always LOVED the stories about grandma. she really was the original re-fashioner. i can't believe she freshened up the flowers with markers!

kami: we can totally come up with a batter name. than DI inista. it just doesn't have the same "ring"

I love this! Home Goods is my favorite. I wish the H.G. in SLC was closer to me. Found some great stuff there for Christmas.
