Yesterday we went to disneyland. As I was walking through the california adventures park this mosaic caught my eye. I've walked past it hundreds of times before, but have never really noticed it. Anyway, as I was looking at it, it occurred to me that this would make a really cool back splash in the kitchen. Maybe I'm crazy, but it just seems so fun! I especially like the idea of incorporating broken china, silver ware, and broken mugs. It won't work in the kitchen I have now, but maybe someday!

I think that would be fabulous in a kitchen!
the other month i took a photo of the tile in the container store bathroom because it is so awesome and then asked one of the employees where they think that had it done - she looked at me like i was crazy.
i love that you had walked past it many time but never noticed it before.
I think it is really pretty. I would love to try making a mosiac sometime.
How cool that you were able to go disneyland. I went there a few times when i was younger. We used to live in huntington beach.
very pretty... love all the colors!
I love colorful mosaics. I would love to learn how to do mosaic with broken china... it is on my "some day" list!
ooh, i love it!
not crazy - inspired! I love it! I'll keep this one in mind if we ever own a house;)!
Totally not crazy, I've thought of doing it with a shower stall before. Well, not with cups or silverware, but with broken china.
i'll start saving all my broken dishes...
Willie has told me many times he wants to do that to our back splash, but he wants to make it into mountains! I will let you know if he ever gets started on that!
We just returned from disneyland, great place! Where is the tile? I love it. Thanks for sharing. You have a lot of fun posts!
I think that tile would be smashing in a kitchen. I'd love to have a kitchen where I could incorporate all those bright, happy, bold colors. I don't think you're crazy at all.
