usually i run with a friend, but lately the craziness of summer has been getting in the way of our plans. that leaves me running all by myself... that is if you don't count the two crazy boys & one wild pup i drag along with me! not a big deal though, it just means i get to spend a little quality time my little friend nano. (maybe i'll even figure out how to work the nikeplus gizmo i bought ages ago.) anyway, today i realized i'm totally bored with my playlist & i definitely need to change it up a bit. here are a couple of songs that get me moving:
Madonna, "Hung Up"
Franz Ferdinand, "Take Me Out"
Justin Timberlake, "Sexy Back"
Hot Rod Circuit, "Sorry About Tomorrow"
Michael Jackson, "Beat It"
OutKast, "The Way You Move"
Fall Out Boy, "Dance, Dance"
Christina Aguilera, "Fighter"
Queens of the Stone Age, "No One Knows"
Ashlee Simpson, "La La"
Flogging Molly, "Drunken Lullabies"
Gwen Stefani, "Hollaback Girl"
Hot Hot Heat, "No, Not Now"
Kelly Clarkson, "Since U Been Gone"
The Postal Service, "Such Great Heights"
what's your favorite playlist? what songs get your blood pumping?

Wow, I feel REALLY old... I have only heard one of those songs... Michael Jackson!
I hate to admit it out loud, but have a crazy love for many of the songs on the Footloose soundtrack....they really make me move my feet!
love that list kel. Let's Get Loud by J Lo is a favorite as is Believe by Cher and shamefully I must admit Britney often has the best beat for running.
Oh, dear, I'm so out of touch with the 00s. I don't recognize any of the songs and most of the artists in your list. My musical tastes froze back in the 1980s, LOL! Still, what I really love are the old standards. Give me Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole, any day!
How about Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne (even the Japanese version is fun), Wind it Up & The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani, Fergilicious by Fergie, Get Right & I'm Glad by J. Lo.
I need to freshen up my playlist too--it's always fun to find out what others exercise to!
(I have 2 iPOD posts on my sidebar if you ever want to check out other tunes.)
Ha.
We have a lot of the same songs we run to!
I love running to Kylie Minougues song... can't remember the song but it has a lot of la la la la la las in it. :)
Also, must admit, I love to run to Britney Spears TOXIC...
A couple favs on my Skinny Hits playlist are:
Here (in your arms) - HelloGoodbye
Don't Stop me Now - Queen
Bootylicious - Destiny's Child
And like the others I'm ashamed to admit I've got Britney on there as well!
Great list! I'm gonna have to steal some of those.
I love my nikeplus! You gotta use yours is fabulous. I too like Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne and also Pump it by Black Eyed Peas. I clocked my fastest mile to that song. Nice advantage of the Nikeplus.
Gonna Soak up the Sun, and Ghostbusters remind me of an aerobics class I once took...it's enough to get my heart pumping just thinking about them!
Listen to.."I want to break free" or "Don't Stop me Know" by Queen. That will get ya sweating.
The Way I Are by Timbaland won't let you stop moving!
I have like 10 of those on my own list....a few others.....
Skater Boi - Avril Lavigne
Gonna Make You Sweat - C & C Music Factory
Rubberneckin' - Elvis
Dance Dance - Fall Out Boy
Rockafeller Skank -Fatboy Slim
The Anthem - Good Charlotte
Bad Reputation - Joan Jett
Trouble is a Woman - Julie Reeves (country song)
Good Vibration - Marky Mark (classic cheese....feel it baby)
Bodyrock - Moby
Filthy/Gorgeous - Scissor Sisters
Anything Salt N Pepa
One & Only - Timbaland
Vertigo - U2
Aren't you good!? I'll get back on the bandwagon when school starts, I promise...
I know it is so 12 years old, but I'm completely obsessed with High School Musical 2 right now. The soundtrack freaking rocks!
Songs from the movies, The Dare Devil and Elektra -- great get your feet hoping.
I'm old and they still make me run.
