i served something i had never ever made before to a guest. ahhh! i wasn't planning on it, in fact i wasn't planning on a guest, but it just worked out that way - and i had already started dinner. so, i crossed my fingers & hoped the zesty crock pot chicken lived up to the rave reviews... i'm happy to report it did! thanks mique, it is definitely a new favorite!

I had that for the first time about a month ago, and it is now a new favorite as well! We serve it over rice did you serve it over anything?
That's sounds kinda weird, I meant to say that our recipe said to serve it over rice or noodles and so I was wondering if you served yours over something (that way if it was noodles I would know you liked it and might try noodles next time).
I have been meaning to make that--I've heard so many raves about it. I just need to get myself to the store for the chicken.
I break that cardinal rule all the time--thankfully it's usually worked out!
I'm going to have to try that soon. Everyone keeps talking about it.

And just so you know, I broke the cardinal rule for my scrapbook girls (you know the type you want to impress) with your Cafe Rio recipes before I even "knew" you. They were a HUGE hit. And I've been dreaming of Cafe Rio ever since. Lucky for me I will be in St. George next Tues (for the day) and going to Cafe Rio is on my to do list (I'll think of you though ;)
