like i have the last couple of weeks, they manage to take care & entertain themselves.
when you are too busy to notice that they might be a wee bit sleepy, they may find a nice little corner of the bathroom in which to take a nap in.
they may find the big costco tub of animal crackers, pour them into their dirty dump truck & zoom around the house carrying their "cargo", only to latter scatter said cargo all over the floor for the "puppy" (otherwise known as owen) to eat up off the floor.
or, they may realize they've heard you say "just a minute" too many times & decide it's high time to open the fridge, climb to the top shelf, get the oj, find a straw & proceed to drink straight from the container.

So funny! Lilly will come get me off the computer and say, "Not just a minute. You get off and do it right now." That always snaps me into reality.
I joke that I wouldn't have anything to blog about if I didn't blog because then my kids would actually be watched and messes prevented.
I may have to call child protective services on you - after I finish laughing. Just think of it as helping them develop self-sufficiency.
Chris
The straw idea is clever! Although I'm wondering how the funnel next to him fits into the scenario.
That is just too funny! Your child is too smart! A straw for the milk jug...now why didn't I think of that.
Oh poor busy you! And what creative, independent children you have. :)
Too cute! We've all been there. Your children are creative in figuring out how to get what they want. ;)
This was such a fun post to read. Love the pics to go along with it too! Don't worry, I think we have all had days like these!
On the upside it looks like you have pretty self suffient kids ;)
This is very funny post. My kids have done the same thing. I am always amazed at how much children can do when left on there own!
Oh my.. what a day! High hopes for tomorrow. I'm smiling big.. been there. :)
they are funny kids...aren't you glad that gav is watching out for little "o"
My daughter's favorite song is "Just a minute" by kids singer, Justin Roberts -- she'll start singing it to me when I say "Just a minute" to her!
I do the same thing. I don't know why I put my 4 year old in charge of my 2 year old. Or I send my 2 year old on errands for me, (I'm lazy,) and she never turns up with what I asked.
I love the straw in the OJ. What a problem solver.
Too cute for words!!!!
