it's all about the baby steps.

& when i say baby, i really mean baby. no, no, i'm not announcing... well that's not completely true. i am announcing, but not that kind of announcement. but i am pleased to tell the world that i'm taking the first step to checking of one of my goals. yep, thanks to prodding of a certain friend i have recently signed up for THIS. for most tri-athletes, THIS baby tri would be a walk in the park. but, let's not forget, i'm not too fond of swimming, & that's saying it nicely. but seriously, it's only a 250 yard swim (& it's in a pool), how hard can it be? nevertheless, i guess i better "suit" up & hit the pool. wish me luck! & i'm totally open to any & all advice, so give away!

I'm so in awe! I have a knee-shaking fear of deep water. I can't wait to follow your training...and to see a photo of you in a swim cap ;)

Chocolate donuts every morning without fail. Oh, and a cigarette after every workout wouldn't hurt either.

I have really been wanting to do a Triathlon. I am excited for you and look forward to the results. I'm not much of a swimmer either.

You are a stud! And thanks for the kind words the other day. You have no idea how much I needed a lift right when I got that. You are so sweet.

my advice to you: hook up with your local masters swimteam. you'll get a quality workout + advice on form/technique, et cetera. you'll love it. swimming is actually one of my favorite workouts--it's a good ol' kick in the butt!

have fun with your tri... hopefully I'll do one sometime this summer after my marathon...

Wow!!! Wow!!!! You GO!

That is wonderful for you to be working towards a "dream" of yours! A pool to me right now sounds very cold! I have to re-think where you live-Ha!

You're doing the swimming right? I never knew you were a pro swimmer!

Two words for you... Body Glide. As in the anti-chafing stick. And good socks.

Most amateur triathletes are poor swimmers anyhow. There is a lot of time to be made up in the other events. You'll do awesome.
