found something to keep me busy.

i like quilting, but i'm not very good, so i don't know what possessed me to make a quilt for my king size bed. well, actually i know what possessed me... amy butler's incredible fabrics. this should definitely keep me busy for a while.

Oooh, she's going to be pretty. And the only way to get "good" (it looks as if you already are!) is to make more quilts!

love the fabrics your using. that will be a nice quilt. i've never made a quilt but there is a secret part of me that would like to do a patchwork one-but i would want it quilted and i don't know how to do that.

I'm so jealous!!! I love Amy Butler's fabric!!! I'm not good at sewing either but if I got some of her material (like the mix n' match that you got) I would try my best! Good luck please post a picture when you're done!!!

That's a huge project and it looks like you're well underway and I love the fabrics you chose. That's a project you'll be able to enjoy for years to come.

That's going to be really pretty! I am so glad to hear there's someone else who likes quilting, but admits to not being 'very good at it.' The few quilts I've made look pretty from a distance...but don't ever check them out with a magnifying glass, LOL! Can you say...crooked seams? Hey, they're still cozy!

amy butler inspired me to make a quilt, too. but since i've NEVER made a quilt, i decided to start with one of her handbags. baby steps... baby steps...
